My Paternal Grandmother was a hard disciplinarian but apparently she had a creative side. When she died, my Mother received the scrap quilts that she made – we had no idea she sewed or that she was creative! So my older sister – inspired, started to make quilts and to my surprise years later I started! I have made 4 quilts and the pattern I love the most is the windmill, because of the light and shadow, the 3d effect it creates. The last quilt I made was more a block pattern, a cot blanket for my son.

I usually make one or two log cabin quilts per year. It is my favorite and you can do so much with it as far as colors and layout. Log Cabin quilts always seem to take me the longest, but they are the ones I like when they are finished the most. 🙂

I come back to the disappearing nine patch, especially for charity kid’s quilts. Also, I find something calming about the repetition.
I have made several string quilts. Other than that I tend to be a one-time pattern person.
I don’t “do” patterns as I’m a liberated quilter, but I’m constantly thinking up ideas for string quilts and I love liberated log cabins. I’ve just finished a top in batiks and can’t wait to quilt it.

I loved making yellow brick road when I was a new quilter and made tons of them…
next was bargello with a twist, it’s all strip piecing and the result is stunning, I’ve made lots of those too.
another favorite is kaleidoscope quilting the smart way, this cool book and template, and you start with a pinwheel block and this template cuts it onto a kaleidoscope block, I’ve made several from the book and have fabrics ready for another one soon

If I need quick gifts I do different variations of disappearing 9 patch. I have made bed quilts, baby quilts and lap quilts with this and the fabric is what really makes the quilt special.
Hi! I’ve tried lots of different techniques, some I’d do again, some not. I was really into Stack’n’Wack a while ago. Now, I like patterns that are striking, yet easy to do!
My time is constricted and i feel very valuable, so I like to use it as wisely as I can!

Don’t normally redo patterns as I like variety but am eyeing up Atlantis and Labyrinth which I will probably do more than once.
I love scrappy string quilt. I think I will make it over again.
I don’t usually repeat a pattern, but I’m sure I will at some point when I’ve tried a bunch of patterns.
i do make different patterns but still use some of the traditional like the nine patch
I like to try new patterns all the time. No quilt is like another. There are so many patterns and I would like to use them all 🙂

I frequently have made a baby wrap pattern over many years for any new babies that are born to friends, colleagues and family. I have a pattern from years and years ago called ‘trip around the world’, and I have made it several times. It’s my go to quilt when teaching someone new how to quilt. It’s a wonderful pattern!

I am brand new to quilting so not had a lot of time to do things over and over. But I am not a normal guy so when I make quilts I make 2-3 of the same type for example I made 2 butterfly quilts in purple and did 2 at once. (lap quilts) so not repeated any thing really yet pattern wise but still experimenting.

I’m only on my 2nd thru 4th quilt, so at this point the answer would be no. LOL.
My first quilt was a 9 patch, the 2nd one is a sampler quilt. I’m also making
a rail fence quilt, and a scrappy picnic quilt.

I like to experiment but a particular favourite of mine is pinwheels. They are so easy to make and I’m about to finish my quilt which features them tomorrow 🙂
I like to try new patterns, but I do have a few go-to patterns for quick gifts.
I’ve only been quilting for a short time, but I’ve already learned that I get bored very easily making the same block over and over. I do tend to often go back to making things out of strip sets though!
I love the fabric you are offering! As far as your question, no pattern repeats so far. I have only been at this for 9 months now. Before that I had not even touched a sewing machine. Therefor I haven’t really gotten the opportunity to double up on a pattern yet. I am sure I will though!

So far, the only pattern I’ve made more than once is the Swoon quilt. So far, I’ve made 2 and I have another lined up. I like this pattern because it’s relatively simple to do, but looks incredibly hard…and gorgeous!

I think that the reason I love Sunbonnet Sue so much is that my favorite quilt when I was a little girl was an old Sunbonnet Sue quilt that my Grandma had made. I don’t have a go to quilt pattern. I really like trying out new patterns and figuring out which works best with the particular fabric I’m working with. It adds to the fun of the whole quilting process.

I just started quilting last year. The only quilt that I am making twice is the basket-weave pattern that has a great tutorial at Honey Bear Lane. It’s quick, easy, and super cute!
I love strip quilts. Sewing strips together but I love hexagon quilts too. Don’t really have a particular favourite pattern. I love to make bags though rather than quilts – I don’t have a lot of time to do big projects.

I usually make big quilt patterns only once. But I have made several quilts from the turning twenty patterns, it is a great way to showcase some of those prints that don’t do as well cut into really small pieces. I do make some of the small wall hanging quilts several times since I make one for each of my 4 kids.
Seems like I make lots of log cabin type, I like to stripe. But I’m trying to push out and try stars, geese, all different shapes.

I keep making the quilt where you purchase 1 1/2 of a print and then 1 1/2 of a sold or print fabric for the back. You lay out your fabric, print on top of the backing and cut 3″ square out of each corner. From there on every side cut slits the length of one finger all around the quilt. Then you tie the two slits into double knots. A lot of typing but every one seems to enjoy these quilts. My top fabric and the bottom fabric are always flannel. So easy. You are going to make a quilter really happy with your giveway. I will be home at Sonora, CA where there is snow falling and entering all of the giveaways on the Blog Hop Party today. This should keep me pretty busy, don’t you agree?

I don’t know if I’ll make more than one quilt of a pattern. I’m just working on my first quilt now so I would say no right now. I guess if I really like a pattern in the future, then I’ll make more than one, but it would have to be with completely different fabric each time. Thanks for a chance to win this beautiful fabric! 🙂

I just finished my 12th quilt pattern that I called Stacked Squares! I love making this quilt. Every time I start another one, it’s for me but I always end up giving it away! I have made other quilts more than once too! Thanks for the chance to win!
The first quilt I made was from a pattern in a magazine, one that was not especially well-written as it turned out. But the pattern itself, big hourglass blocks alternating with plain squares, is really pleasing, shows off fabrics beautifully, and can be adjusted to many sizes. Now that I have worked out the details, it is quite easy to make, and with proper planning can have a secondary star effect. So I make this for gifts fairly often. The first quilts I made from it were for my nieces, so we call it The Nieces pattern.
No, I would get bored doing the same pattern and I like to try new patterns and new techniques. The only thing I’ve done more than once are Quillows and that was only because each of my kids loved them so I had to make one for each of them.
I’ve used Camille Roskelley’s Wallflower pattern more than once. In fact, I’m working on my third quilt with that pattern right now! It’s easy to put together….but this time my jelly roll strips got all wonky on the back…maybe my ironing skewed them. But i’d definitely recommend the pattern.

The quilt pattern I used over and over again is the pinwheel. The pinwheel is my favorite block.

I’m still too new to make quilt patterns repeatedly! lol. I’ve finished four quilts. The only thing I’ve done is a couple variations of the 9 patch block (basic, the double 9 patch, a 4 patch block…). For my next quilt, I want to break away from squares and try something new.

I have only been seriously quilting for about a year so I have not been asking the same pattern. My favorite pattern right now is Jacobs Ladder.
I do have patterns for quilts that I do over like the log cabin block, but recently I have just started creating my own, they are turning out just fine and reflect my style. Don’t get me wrong there are some awesome patterns out there and I like both.

I’m a fairly new quilter so I do the pattern twice. The first time is a trial and error. Hopefully I get the “kinks” out on the first one, so that the second is the one I actually gift or keep nice. I also do two so that I know I have that technique down and then learn another. Foundation piecing however is going to take more than 2 go rounds on that, in order for it to stick in my brain. LOL 🙂
Yes, Sunbonnet Sue, of course, because I keep drawing her and designing quilts for her over and over again. But, in the piecing world, one of most favorite blocks is the Ohio Star. Somehow it just says….American Quilting to me. Thanks for letting us visit.

i really like variety, but i am still relatively new so i have been doing he hourglass one and i am finding that there are so many ways to use it, i really like it. In time im sure i will move on to others.

Hummmm. I’m a new quilter who tends to make doll quilts as a way to learn a different pattern each time with out the fear of committment of trying to make a large quilt. I keep coming back to the tried-&-true 9-patch pattern. The color combos are endless so two never look the same.
I am new to quilting so haven’t done many patterns yet but I like the traditional ones like the Log Cabin.
I guess I like to try new things so I really haven’t made duplicates of any pattern EXCEPT for the two quilts I’m currently making for my two granddaughters. They’re identical except for their names. Thanks for the chance to win your bundle of goodies!!!
