Phew…I am past the halfway mark in Blog-tober! Thanks for visiting with me.  Today feels like I am really reaching for content.  I will be happy to take a break in November.  Although, the pressure/schedule/routine of blogging every day is making me a bit more productive!

I am going to turn the spotlight on my crafty kid.  Here was my birthday present:

She says she found a picture online and copied it.  I love it!  I want to join the fun…she usually has these painting nights with a friend when I teach in the evening…so maybe we will try one of those painting class/studio places one of these days.

Here she is with her portrait of our friend’s dog:

It is so much fun to watch her create!

Be Happy!

I found a new blog, The Domestic Fringe, and we are going to focus on happiness for the month of October.  It will be a challenge for me to blog every day, since I’ve been averaging only one post a month for a good long while!

So, what comes to mind when you think HAPPY?

Puppies and Babies and cute cuddly things

Dreams, goals, achievement

Comfort, Security, Connections

Here is my family, my #1 happiness –

Me and dear husband at a luau in Hawaii.  Our trip to celebrate 10 happy years of marriage turned into a family reunion when we invited the grandparents along, and rented a house big enough for my brother’s family to join us as well.  It was fabulous!

The biggest joy in my life has to be my daughter.  This is the picture from the first day of school. Her stuffed animal “Monkey Dog” has been a constant companion for the last four years, and it’s bittersweet to notice that he gets left at home more and more often.  I have enjoyed every stage of Kendra’s life so far, she makes me happy each and every day.
